This is Emoke Kerekes photographer’s site

I was born in Erdőszentgyörgy, Romania in 1980. In 1992 my family moved to Budapest, I grew up there. 2013-2015 was the period when I gradually moved back to Transilvania, Romania and I was living here ever since.

I completed my studies in photography in 2010 at MOME, Budapest, Hungary. Besides my professional work, since 2008 I taught Photography Theory and Practice in multiple high schools. My works are based on my personal history and memories and are attempts at processing the past. Besides the intelectual and emotional process of creating concepts, the experimental use of photographical techniques is also really important for me, so it’s not uncommon for me to use multiple photographical styles and techniques  in the same work.
